Treating addiction is all we do, and we’ve been doing it for over 45 years.
OAR is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people and families in their struggle with alcoholism and chemical dependency. We are one of the few organizations on the lakeshore that specialize in the disease of addiction.
When you need us, we respond immediately—with full residential and outpatient care, extensive group and one-on-one support, intervention, and education for individuals (ages 17-18 and older), families and communities located in Ottawa and Allegan Counties, and throughout West Michigan.
OAR provides treatment that is evidence-based and personalized.
Working together, you and your therapist will determine the customized plan of treatment and recovery that’s best for you. Everyone has access to the same specialized care, and our fees are based on what you can pay.
Some of OAR’s extensive program and treatment options include: residential services for men and women, intensive outpatient therapy (IOP), group therapy, family support groups, individual therapy, acupuncture, treatment readiness groups, men’s and women’s early recovery groups, trauma-focused treatment, alcohol highway safety education courses, 12-step meetings, victim/survivor impact panels, and more.
The benefit of certified recovery coaches.
OAR employs specially trained, certified recovery coaches who are themselves in recovery. Often assigned by the court, they work with specific individuals to provide special care, support and extra assistance during the early stages of treatment and recovery. Together with OAR, these dedicated recovery coaches have created a uniquely strong community of support that is receiving national recognition for its success.
